Ever hear an amazing song – and wish you could immediately take the chords from it and make your own jam out of it?
Perhaps you dream of being a master improviser or want to finally be able to pull music out of your head… and put it out to the world.
You may even just be struggling to read notes fluently and find that your lack of knowledge when it comes to music theory is holding you back.
Maybe you’re just tired of being the outsider when musicians talk, unable to join in the conversation because you don’t know half of the jargon!
The good news is that you don’t have to spend thousands of dollars on a college education to get these skills.
Music Theory 101, Taught by Daniel Dovinh
My name is Daniel, and I am a musician, music teacher, and former music director with a classic musical training degree from Seattle University.
As an experienced music teacher, I get a lot of questions when it comes to theory:
- How can I improve my sight-reading music skills?
- How can I better learn music by ear?
- How can I master rhythm and pitch?
All these questions have one big common question behind them:
“Can you teach me music theory?”
The answer is yes; I can, thanks to my education, formal training from some of the best musical theorists in the world: Dr. Joy Sherman, Dr. Lee Peterson, Dr. Quinton Morris, Dr. Amber Archibald, Tina Kourachtavili, Ross Hauck, and Byron Schenkman.
You’ll learn what I teach my private music students in person – and in Music Theory 101, I’m going to pass the world-class knowledge and training of my own mentors onto you.
